Illinois Chemical Education Foundation (due February 23, 2018)

FIRE-Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (due January 31, 2018)

High school juniors and seniors for the 2017-2018 school year are eligible to participate in FIRE’s essay contest. We just launched a scholarship for high school students. The scholarship is called the High School STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots, and its goal is to support high school students ages 16 and up who are serious about learning how to fly drones commercially. Scholarship recipients will get free access to Drone Pilot Ground School (usual cost is $299), an in-depth test prep course for the FAA’s certification exam to become a commercial drone pilot, and will also have their FAA exam fee of $150 covered, for a total value of about $450.
