Paris Community Hospital Volunteer Scholarships are comprised of three separate scholarships with various requirements. Applications are available in the scholarship file.


Paris Business Women’s Club Scholarship (due April 6, 2018)

The Paris Business Women’s Club offers two scholarships to high school seniors. Applications may be found in the scholarship file.

John Charles Geekie Memorial Scholarship (due April 27, 2018)

High school seniors who are planning on enrolling at Indiana State University may apply. Scholarships applications may be found in the scholarship file in Mrs. Frailey’s office.


Jerry Lunger Memorial Scholarship (due April 1, 2018)

This is a one-time scholarship for 3 Chrisman High School seniors, totaling the amount of $1,500. Each winner will receive $500. One scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing an Education major, one pursuing a Science major, and one to an Agriculture major. Applications are in the file in Mrs. Frailey’s office.


Extension to Aces Scholarship (awarded on a rolling basis)

Incoming freshmen and transfer students to University of Illinois College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences may apply for a NEW $2,500 scholarship. This year, 54 scholarships (two per each of Extension’s 27 units) will be awarded. Learn more at academics.aces.illinois.edu/scholarships/new-students. Illinois 4-H Livestock Scholarship (due March 1, 2018)

This $1,000 Illinois 4-H Livestock Scholarship is open to members who have demonstrated mastery in the livestock area and plan to continue their education in the area of agriculture. Members must have been involved in the livestock project a minimum of three years. You must have been a member for at least 5 years and attending either a 4-year university, community college, or trade school. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen. Legacy of Leadership Scholarship (due March 1, 2018)

Eight $1,000 Legacy of Leadership Scholarships are offered to members who have demonstrated overall mastery and leadership in the 4-H program. You must have been a member for at least 5 years and attending either a 4-year university, community college, or trade school. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and college freshmen. Paul Brumaghim Memorial Scholarship-National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA) (due March 30, 2018)

NAIFA-ECI (East Central Illinois) is made up of Insurance & Financial Advisors from Champaign, Vermilion, Edgar, Douglas and Piatt counties. The Paul Brumaghim Memorial Scholarship is named for longtime Shelter Agent Paul Brumaghim from Danville. Paul was a tireless supporter of NAIFA and was a mentor to many of us. They award (2) $500 Scholarships every year to deserving High School Seniors who plan to major in Insurance, Finance, Business or some other field related to the Financial Services Industry in College. Danville Area Community College Scholarship Booklet (due February 21, 2018)

The new DACC Scholarship application for the 2018-2019 academic year is now available!  We've converted to a completely online system.   Students will use their DACC username and password to login.   If it is a new student, they will need to complete the application for admission first so they can receive their username and password (https://www.dacc.edu/ar/application).   

One of the features is an online request for a letter of recommendation.   Students will enter the email address of the person they'd like to have write their letter and the system will email the request.  The letter will be completed online and submitted back into the scholarship system.

Eastern Illinois University $2,000 Scholarship Opportunity (due March 15, 2018)

Eastern Illinois University is offering a one-time, $2,000scholarship for high school seniors in east-central Illinois who are leaders and role models in their community. They'll need to get a letter of recommendation from a teacher, principal or other mentor, as well as write a one-page personal essay addressing one of the following: How have you been a role model for students at your high school and peers in your community? How would you continue being a role model as an EIU student? Please provide examples of involvement, leadership, community service, and recognition.

There are no requirements for GPA or test scores. Eleven students will be chosen for this award, made possible by generous donations from Wells Fargo and other local businesses. They are encouraging other local businesses to donate to this scholarship fund, so that hopefully, it will benefit both students and the local community for years to come. High School STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots

We just launched a scholarship for high school students. The scholarship is called the High School STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots, and its goal is to support high school students ages 16 and up who are serious about learning how to fly drones commercially. Scholarship recipients will get free access to Drone Pilot Ground School (usual cost is $299), an in-depth test prep course for the FAA’s certification exam to become a commercial drone pilot, and will also have their FAA exam fee of $150 covered, for a total value of about $450.
